About
About Dialogue of the Day
Dialogue of the Day is a daily reading site for people who love how films are written and performed.
What the site is
Each entry takes one spoken line from a film, 25 words or fewer, checked word for word against a legal copy, and reads it closely in at least 300 words of our own: the scene that sets it up, how it is written, how it is delivered, how it was received and what you might take from it.
There are two tracks. Hollywood lines appear in English. Bollywood lines appear in Devanagari as spoken, in Hinglish and in our own English translation, once a native Hindi reviewer is confirmed. When both tracks run, each day brings one inspirational line and one comedy line, with the tracks swapping moods daily. Until a native Hindi reviewer is confirmed, the plan is one Hollywood line a day, alternating between the two moods.
We also publish evergreen guides on reading film lines, which quote no dialogue at all.
Where things stand (26 October 2026)
No entries have been published or verified yet. Each line will be checked against a legal copy by two people working separately, and will need a rights record and a safety review, before anything appears here. The Bollywood track waits for a named native Hindi reviewer.
The site has no advertising, no affiliate links, no analytics and no cookies. If that changes, the privacy page and this page will say so before it happens.
Who it is for
Adult film lovers in India and anyone who enjoys the craft of screen writing. The site is written in English and is not directed at children.
Who publishes it
Dialogue of the Day is published by ISHAA ESPORTS AND MOTORSPORTS LLP, an Indian limited liability partnership. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or working for any studio, producer, writer, actor or streaming platform. Nothing here is official, presented by or approved by any of them.
How the content is made
This site’s guides and pages were researched and drafted with AI assistance, checked against the sources cited on each page; publisher review recorded in our corrections log.
Film entries follow stricter rules. No AI tool transcribes a line, checks a line or fills any reviewer role: two people verify every line against a legal copy. Whether AI may help draft entry commentary has not been decided; until it is, entries are written without AI drafting help, and Methods will say exactly how if that changes.
The rules we work by
- Methods: how lines are chosen, scheduled and written about.
- How we verify a line: the checks before anything is published.
- What we leave out: our safety rubric and the formats we never use.
- Rights and removals: our legal basis and how to ask us to remove something.
- Contact and corrections: how to report an error.
